Our program is a yearlong, evidence-based path to individual and collective flourishing
We offer a comprehensive world-readiness program that prepares young people ages ~18–24 to thrive. It’s a yearlong, combined offline and online program that equips you to thrive in an unpredictable world. You'll learn reliable practices and skills to help you find your way in work, study, and personal growth. The curriculum is built upon Neither/Nor — a practical philosophy that coheres Western and Eastern understanding with principles from developmental psychology, cultural evolution, and affective neuroscience.

Mentorship & Connections
The Quest: from worry to wonder
We start with a weeklong Quest in the wilderness. You’ll join 15 or so other explorers and a handful of Guides (see Team!). There will be campfires and canoes, exercises in contemplation and self-reflection, and an invitation to get real together — about hopes, dreams, and fears about living a purposeful life.
The Hub
After the The Quest, you'll stay connected with your new friends in The Hub. Our weekly calls weave the transformational experiences you had in the woods, with new skills to help you navigate tough choices, collaborate, and launch projects you care about into the "real world." We work hard to set a schedule that fits in with your work or study.
All learning practices are "evidence-based": We draw from Neither/Nor, teach reliable methods to shift mindsets (from developmental science), provide repeated practice with forms of trust-building and peer-support (like Appreciative Inquiry), and immerse ourselves in a host of wisdom practices that have stood the test of time.

Heists

We call our collective projects Heists — high-impact experiments in what matters to you, funded by Liminal Learning. You'll learn how to refine, pitch, and realize your ideas. Your first Heist will be with the same crew you've known since the Quest, plus support from some crafty specialists from the Liminal Learning community.
A Heist could be anything from filming a mini-documentary, to designing an app for tracking moods with music, to starting a community soup & stories night. The sky is the limit!
Community
Our online community is a home port and a launchpad, both during your program and as long as you want to stay afterwards. A place to connect with your crew and with other young people from other cohorts we run, all around the world.
Liminal Learning Guides are here, too. We'll also bring in experts and mentors to help you on your path in work, study, and civic engagement.

Joining the weekly calls is like stepping back into the magic we created together in the Canadian wilderness. It’s a truly remarkable thing that magic like that can be felt through a screen.” — Finn, 23
