Upcoming Quests
We start our yearlong program with a Quest — a week in the wilderness. There'll be campfires and canoes, exercises in contemplation and self-reflection, and an invitation to get real together — about fears, hopes, and plans about living a good life.
Quests are more than a retreat. They're designed for real transformation, together. You'll gain clarity and a deeper connection to yourself and your purpose. And you'll be prepared for the year of experimentation and change ahead.

Location Spotlight
We're lucky to have access to the Opinicon Campus of the Queen's University Biological Station (QUBS). Nestled in the rugged landscape of the Frontenac Arch UNESCO World Biosphere Reserve, QUBS has been a hub of scientific research for 80 years. We're hosted by the Station's team, who is deeply connected to the local land base and are custodians to over 8100 acres of forests, fields, lakes and wetlands, acting as a critical part of the Frontenac Axis conservation corridor that runs from the Adirondacks right up through to Algonquin Park.

Most asked
questions
What time commitment is required?
It varies throughout the year. The Quest at the start is a full 5-6 days, during which it's best if you have nothing else on your calendar or mind. The Heist period runs about 6–8 weeks, including training, building, and launch. A rough expectation is 4 hours per week, with 2 full days at the end for the launch and celebrations. For the remainder of the year, in the digital Hub, expect 2 hours per week (on average — some weeks, break!)
I'm working/studying full-time. Can I still join?
My parents want me to do this. Should I?
Will the program help me in my career?
Is financial aid available?
I've got some mental health stuff going on. Is that ok?
Impact
At the Liminal Post you'll find more conversations with young adults about our program.
“The conversations we were having made me realize that life doesn't really have rules… you can kind of make up your own rules for the life you want to live.”
Sameera, Cohort 1
“Curiosity, openness, comfort with ambiguity, a sense of agency… He was looking for an awesome Heister.”
